The city Department of Health says seven more New Yorkers have died from complications related to the H1N1 virus.
According to a new report released Tuesday, a total of 23 New Yorkers have now died from the flu strain.
The Health Department says not all of the deaths occurred in recent weeks and that test results have now linked new deaths to the virus.
Many of the newly confirmed flu deaths involved people who were hospitalized in late May, during the peak of the outbreak.
Ok, the word ‘peak’ in the final sentence is comforting but work with me here NY1. Should I ride the subway or not? The Oink refuses to go away.
